How does booking an EICR with CircuitCertify work?
You book online at a fixed price. We confirm by phone or WhatsApp within 2 hours (8am-8pm) and assign an independent NICEIC registered electrician who covers your area. They carry out the inspection, and your EICR report is emailed to you.
1. How do I book?
Choose your property size on the booking page and see the fixed price straight away. Add access details and your preferred dates, then send the booking. You receive a booking reference on screen. Nothing is charged at this stage. [CONFIRM payment timing]
2. How is an electrician assigned?
We will confirm by phone or WhatsApp within 2 hours (8am-8pm). We then offer the job to an independent NICEIC registered electrician who covers your area and has a suitable date free, and confirm the date and time with you. [CONFIRM assignment process]
3. How do you check the electrician's registration?
Before an electrician is added to our list, we search for them on the public NICEIC register (niceic.com) and record their registration details. We re-check registration [CONFIRM how often, e.g. every 6 months] and stop sending work to anyone no longer listed.
4. What happens on the day?
The electrician inspects and tests the fixed installation. Each circuit is switched off while it is tested, so the power is off for part of the visit. Most homes take 2 to 4 hours. You do not need to attend if access is arranged.
5. How and when is the certificate sent?
The EICR report is sent by email to the address in your booking once the electrician has completed it, usually within [CONFIRM number] working days of the inspection. If the report lists required work, we can arrange a quote for it.
